<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on December 13, 2010 5 <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Councils' questions. <br /> <br />Public Input: Phillip Hoot - 927 Seabreeze - Noted he is not in favor or against this item <br />but is just curious why it is being done. <br /> <br />David Janda - 412 Spencer Landing East - informed the Council he had abstained from <br />voting on this item during the Planning and Zoning meeting due to possible conflict since <br />he is currently serving as an alternate member. <br /> <br />Recommendation of Planning & Zoning Commission to approve Ordinance 3306. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby closed the Public Hearing at 6:36 p.m. <br /> <br />8. Consider approval or other action on recommendation of Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to approve an ordinance amending Chapter 106 "Zoning" of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of La Porte to convert the two La Porte Planning and Zoning <br />Commission Alternate Member Positions to Regular Member Positions (Ord. 3306) - T. <br />Tietjens <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3306 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 106 "ZONING" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE BY AMENDING ARTICLE II, "ADMINISTRATION" DIVISION 2, "BOARDS AND <br />COMMISSIONS", SUBDIVISON II "PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION', SECTION <br />106-62 "MEMBERSHIP AND STRUCTURE" AND SECTION 106-63 "GENERAL <br />PROCEEDINGS", TO CHANGE LA PORTE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />ALTERNATE MEMBER POSITIONS TO REGULAR MEMBER POSITIONS: PROVIDING <br />A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Zemanek to approve ordinance 3306 as presented <br />by Mr. Tietiens. Second by Councilmember Enqelken.
