<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on December 13, 2010 7 <br /> <br />Opponents - Mr. Hermilo Guevara informed the Council he is in favor of the option of the <br />City closing its file and allowing him to complete the interior work. He is opposed to <br />restarting the condemnation process. <br /> <br />Proponents Rebuttal <br />Recommendation of staff is to close the file and allow the owner to complete the interior <br />work. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby closed the Public Hearing at 6:48 p.m. <br /> <br />12. Consider approval or other action regarding direction of staff to 1) drop condemnation case <br />on 401 N. 6th Street or 2) restart the condemnation process against new owners. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Moser to approve recommendation of staff to drop <br />condemnation case on 401 N. 6th Street. Second by Councilmember Black. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Engelken, Martin, Leonard, Mosteit, Moser, Zemanek, Clausen, Black and Mayor <br />Rigby <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />13. Consider approval or other action regarding a resolution authorizing the sale of Block 46, <br />Lot 10 in the Bayfront Addition, in the town of La Porte, Texas (Res. 2010-27) - T. Tietjens <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and answered Councils questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read resolution 2010-27, A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF LA PORTE MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />SALE OF LOT 10, BLOCK 46, OF BA YFRONT ADDITION TO THE TOWN OF LA <br />PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Moser to approve Resolution 2010-27 as presented <br />by Mr. Tietiens. Second bv Councilmember Mosteit. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Clausen, Moser, Martin, Engelken, Leonard, Zemanek, Black and Mayor <br />Leonard <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />14.
