Public Hearing - Council to conduct a Public Hearing to discuss recommendation of <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to amend the Code of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning, related to regulation of on and off premise signs within the <br />Main Street District Overlay - T. Tietjens <br /> <br />Open Public Hearing - Mayor Beasley opened the Public Hearing at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and overview. <br /> <br />Public Comments: Bill Manning, Jr. - 11527 N. Ave. H - noted concerns with the sign <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Mark Follis - 831 S. 7th - noted concerns with the sign ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Beasley closed the Public Hearing and reconvened Regular Meeting at 7:43 p.m. <br /> <br />18. Motion was made by Council member Moser to table Public Hearinq and action item until <br />the first meetinq to be held on June 14, 2010. Second by Councilmember Zemanek. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Engelken, Rigby, Moser, Leonard, Clausen, Mayor Pro Tem Black, Mosteit, <br />Zemanek and Mayor Beasley <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />19. Public Hearing - Council to conduct a Public Hearing to discuss recommendation of <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to amend the Code of Ordinances Chapter 106 "Zoning, <br />related to maximum allowable lot coverage for single-family detached dwellings - T. <br />Tietjens <br /> <br />Open Public Hearing - Mayor Beasley opened the Public Hearing at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and overview. <br /> <br />Public Comments: Phillip Hoot - 927 Sea breeze - noted concerns with approval of this <br />item due to drainage issues. <br /> <br />Mayor Beasley closed the Public Hearing and reconvened Regular Meeting at 8:12 p.m. <br /> <br />20. Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3242 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 106 "ZONING" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE BY AMENDING ARTICLE III. "DISTRICTS" DIVISION 2, "RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRCT REGULATIONS", SUBDIVISION I, "GENERALLY", BY AMENDING SECTION <br />106-333, "TABLE B, RESIDENTIAL AREA REQUIREMENTS", BY ADDING NEW <br />FOOTNOTE 20, REGARDING MAXIMUM LOT COVERAGE FOR SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLINGS; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY <br />
