Minutes of Special Called Regular Meeting Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on May 17, <br />2010 3 <br />Mayor Beasley provided summary and recommendation and answered Councils' <br />questions. <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3251, AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING <br />A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO SERVE AS MAYOR PRO-TEM OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE, FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 2010 THROUGH MAY 31, 2011, FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Zemanek to appoint Councilmember Leonard as <br />Mayor Pro -Tern as presented by Mayor Beasley.
