Minutes of Regular Meeting and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on June 28, 2010 <br />4 <br />Mr. Engelken reported two firms were interviewed and the committee was recommending <br />Belt Harris Pechacek to perform the forensic audit at a cost not to exceed $20,000.00. <br />The funds will come from the general fund and then reimbursed from the La Porte <br />Development Corporation. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve the recommendation of Belt <br />Harris, Pechacek by the Fiscal Affairs Committee as the firm to conduct a forensic audit <br />review of the Town Plaza Project at a cost not to exceed $20,000.00. Second by <br />Councilmember Moser. Close Regular Meeting and Open Workshop Meeting <br />The Regular Meeting was closed and the Workshop Meeting was opened at 6:35 p.m. <br />A. Discuss inclusion of a bicycle -pedestrian pathway in the Sens Road/Bay Area <br />Boulevard road improvements project and provide staff with direction — S. Barr <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Stephen Barr discussed the inclusion of a bicycle - <br />pedestrian pathway in the Sens Road/Bay Area Boulevard road improvements project. <br />Council directed staff to find out from Harris County when the road will be built and to <br />move forward with the Interlocal Agreement. <br />B. Discuss the Lakes at Fairmont Greens Subdivision and provide staff with direction — R. <br />Bottoms <br />City Manager Ron Bottoms and Assistant City Manager John Joerns discussed the <br />Lakes at Fairmont Greens Subdivision. <br />James Larson informed council of concerns Dr. Reddy has with the PID. <br />Council directed the City Manager to put a person in charge of this project and meet <br />with them in an expedient manner to try and move this project forward. <br />C. Discuss Emergency Response Rescue Boat and provide staff with direction — D. Ladd <br />Fire Chief Mike Boaze discussed an Emergency Response Rescue Boat. <br />Council directed staff to move forward and bring back to council for approval to <br />purchase the rescue boat. <br />
