Minutes of Regular Meeting and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on June 28, 2010 6 <br />August 13-14, 2010 - Newly Elected City Official's Orientation — TML — Austin, Texas <br />August 20, 2010 - Plaza by the Bay Summer Concert 6:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. <br />August 23, 2010 — City Council Meeting <br />August 28, 2010 — Election Day <br />Mr. Bottoms also reported another home at 207 N. 2nd street had been sold. <br />15. Council Comments: Black, Zemanek, Engelken, Mosteit, Clausen, Rigby, Moser, and <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Leonard <br />A. Matters appearing on agenda <br />B. Recognition of community members, city employees, and upcoming events <br />C. Inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or existing policy <br />16. Executive Session — pursuant to provision of the Open Meeting Law, Chapter 551, Texas <br />Government Code, Sections 551.071 through 551.076, 551.087 (consultation with <br />attorney, deliberation regarding real property, deliberation regarding prospective gift or <br />donation personnel matters, deliberation regarding security devices, or excluding a <br />witness during examination of another witness in an investigation , deliberation regarding <br />economic development negotiations) <br />A. 551.074 (Personnel Matter) Evaluation of City Secretary <br />Council closed the Regular Meeting and retired to Executive Session at 8:20 p.m. <br />Council closed the Executive Session and returned to the table at 8:38 p.m. <br />17. Considerations and possible action on items considered in executive session. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Zemanek to give the City Secretary a 4% increase. <br />A second by Councilmember Engelken. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Engelken, Rigby, Moser, Clausen, Black, Zemanek, Mosteit and Mayor Pro-Tem <br />Leonard <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br />18.
