Councilmember Engelken moved to approve the Consent Agenda pursuant to recommendations by <br />City Staff. Councilmember Martin seconded. AUTHORIZATIONS/ORDINANCES/RESOLUTIONS <br />(a) Consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance accepting bid for city owned real <br />property located at 918 N. Broadway St. — T. Leach <br />Assistant City Manager Traci Leach presented a summary. <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the caption of Ordinance 3403 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />AND APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 5.9 ACRES, SITUATED AT <br />918 N. BROADWAY, IN THE CITY OF MORGAN'S POINT, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO THE HIGH <br />BIDDER INTEGRATED MARING SERVICES, L.L.C., A TEXAS LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, FOR A <br />PRICE OF $1, 400,000.00; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATIGN TO THE <br />SUBJECT, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />Councilmember Leonard moved to approve an ordinance accepting bid for city owned real property <br />located at 918 N. Broadway St. Councilmember Moser seconded. Tietjens <br />Senior Engineer Julian Garza presented a summary. <br />Councilmember Engelken questioned the duration of the proposed project. Julian Garza reported <br />the duration of the proposed project would be 60 to 90 days. <br />Councilmember Martin moved to authorize the Planning Director to execute a pipeline permit to <br />DCP Sand Hills Pipeline, LLC, for the installation of a 20" NGL pipeline through the City of <br />La Porte. Councilmember Mosteit seconded. MOTION PASSED. <br />Ayes: Mayor Rigby, Councilmembers Martin, Mosteit, Leonard, <br />Moser, Kaminski and Engelken <br />Nays: None <br />Absent: Councilmembers Clausen and Zemanek <br />8. DISCUSSION OR OTHER ACTION <br />(a) Discussion or other action regarding the location of the new Animal Shelter — K. Adcox <br />Chief of Police Ken Adcox presented a power point presentation regarding two proposed locations <br />of the future animal shelter.
