COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br />members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual <br />information or existing policies — Councilmembers Mosteit, Clausen, Martin, Moser, Kaminski, <br />Zemanek, Leonard, Engelken and Mayor Rigby. <br />Councilmember Martin congratulated the La Porte Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) on the <br />great golf tournament and fundraiser and reported he attended a meeting with the Port of Houston <br />regarding noise pollution and hopes for a resolution soon. Councilmembers Moser and Kaminski <br />commented they are both excited and looking forward to the building of the new Fire Station No. 1. <br />Mayor Rigby commented he is looking forward to the new Fire Station No. 1, as well, and <br />congratulated Judge Denise Mitrano and staff on their recent award. <br />12. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />The City Council reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need <br />arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government <br />Code. <br />No executive session was convened. <br />13. RECONVENE into regular session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in executive <br />session. <br />14.
