DEMOLITION WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND TO <br /> COMPLETE SAID REMOVAL OR DEMOLITION WITHIN FORTY-FIVE (45) DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; ORDERING THE DANGEROUS BUILDING INSPECTION BOARD TO <br /> PLACE A NOTICE ON SAID BUILDING; ORDERING THE CITY SECRETARY TO FORWARD A COPY OF <br /> THIS ORDINANCE TO SAID OWNER; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF SAID BUILDING BY THE <br /> CITY OF LA PORTE IF NOT REMOVED BY SAID OWNER IN THE MANNER PROVIDED HEREIN; <br /> PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF; AND FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS <br /> LAW. <br /> (b) Public hearing to receive comments regarding a request to approve an amendment to the <br /> City's Future land Use Plan for tracts of land located between Highway 146 and S. 16th Street and <br /> between W. M Street and McCabe Road; and consider an Ordinance amending the Future Land <br /> Use Map Component of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of La Porte, Texas, in accordance with <br /> the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation to approve the proposed <br /> modifications to the Future Land Use Plan — E. Ensey <br /> The public hearing opened at 7:15 p.m. <br /> City Planner Eric Ensey and James B. Harris, Attorney representing Port Crossing, presented a <br /> summary. <br /> There being no public comments, the public hearing closed at 7:20 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Earp moved to approve an amendment to the City's Future Land Use Plan for <br /> tracts of land located between Highway 146 and S. 16th Street and between W. M Street and <br /> McCabe Road; and an Ordinance amending the Future land Use Map Component of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. of the City of La Porte. Councilmember Engelken seconded. MOTION <br /> PASSED. <br /> Ayes: Mayor Rigby, Councilmembers Martin, Clausen, Kaminski, <br /> Earp and Engelken <br /> Nays: None <br /> Absent: Councilmember Leonard and Zemanek <br /> Prior to council action, Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read the caption of Ordinance 2015-3596: AN <br /> ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN UPDATE TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP COMPONENT OF THE <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS UPON RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; FINDING COMPLIANCE <br /> WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> (c) Public hearing to receive comments regarding a request to approval a Special Conditional <br /> Use Permit (SCUP) for purpose of establishing use and development requirements for Port Cross <br /> Business Park, located north and west of State Highway 146 and Wharton Weems including all <br /> property included in the Final Plat of Port Crossing and Reserve A, Block 1, Port Crossing Section <br /> 1; and Reserve A, Boncosky Trucking Terminal, and consider an Ordinance amending Chapter <br /> 106, "Zoning, " of the Code of Ordinances by approving proposed SCUP # 15-91000004, in <br /> accordance with the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation for approval, <br /> Applicant is Port Crossing Land, LP. - Ensey <br /> The public hearing opened at 7:21 p.m. <br /> City Planner Eric Ensey presented a summary. <br /> Councilmember Martin asked if any additional conditions requested by City Council can be <br /> implemented tonight or at a future meeting. Mr. Ensey responded any additional conditions <br /> requested by City Council can be implemented tonight. Councilmember Martin asked if the new <br /> owner wanted to build on Hwy 146, is there any input required on behalf of City Council or are the <br /> owners allowed to proceed building according to the document.
