(c) Consider approval or other action regarding acceptance of a deed conveying the east 141 <br />feet of the 80 -foot wide former Madison right-of-way back to the City of La Porte — C. <br />Alexander <br />Regarding Item B, Councilmember Earp asked what all is included in the proposed project. IT <br />Manager Rene Valdez responded it is a combination of a number of projects to include a new <br />phone system; cooling systems and new technology. <br />Regarding Item B, Councilmembers Zemanek and Earp requested additional information on the <br />cooling system. <br />Councilmember Leonard moved to approve the Consent Agenda items A&C pursuant to staff <br />recommendations. Councilmember Engelken seconded. MOTION PASSED UNANIMOUSLY 9/0. <br />Councilmember Earp moved to approve the Consent Agenda item B project as presented with the <br />exception of the air conditioning portion and requested Staff to go back and qualify the air <br />conditioning and bring it back at a later date. Ensey <br />The public hearing opened at 6:32 p.m. <br />City Planner Eric Ensey presented a summary and recommendation by the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br />Councilmember Zemanek moved to continue the public hearing to the June 27, 2016, meeting. <br />Councilmember Clausen seconded. Gauthier <br />Emergency Management Coordinator Kristin Gauthier presented a summary, and David Bierling <br />from Texas A&M Transportation Institute presented a PowerPoint presentation. <br />(b) Receive report of the Fiscal Affairs Committee — Councilmember Engelken <br />Councilmember Engelken provided a report of the Fiscal Affairs Committee meeting held prior to <br />the City Council meeting. <br />9.
