Councilmember Zemanek congratulated Councilmembers Ojeda, Earp, Kaminski on being elected; <br /> Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; commented the 125th Anniversary Celebration was <br /> a tremendous event; requested Staff meet with the Chamber of Commerce and other entities <br /> regarding sales taxes in the City; requested a report from the City Engineer on a pipe causing <br /> flooding and wished everyone a safe Memorial Day weekend. <br /> Councilmember Leonard congratulated Councilmembers Ojeda, Earp, Kaminski and new Mayor <br /> Pro-Tern K. Martin; commented he had the privilege of being one of the three participants of the <br /> new program in the EMS Department and advised of the great equipment the City has and wished <br /> everyone a Happy Memorial Day weekend. <br /> Mayor Rigby congratulated Ruston Royall as Employee of the First Quarter; Councilmember K. <br /> Martin as Mayor Pro-Tem; thanked Councilmember Earp for serving as Mayor Pro-Tem; welcomed <br /> Councilmember Ojeda; commented the Public Service event was nice last week; thanked CSO for <br /> assisting with the City hosting the Harris County Mayors' & Councils' Association Dinner at <br /> Monument Inn; informed of a groundbreaking for LyondellBasell that will benefit the City and <br /> thanked everyone for the 125th Anniversary Celebration. <br /> 12. ADJOURN - There being no further business, Councilmember Chuck Engelken made a motion to <br /> adjourn the meeting at 6:55 p.m. Councilmember Daryl Leonard seconded the motion.
