Council consider livestreaming Council meetings; addressed the ability of Councilpersons to give <br /> direction to the City Manager; congratulated and effusively thanked the departments recognized with <br /> proclamations; thanked staff for the CIP update; asked about City parks reopening; thanked the Chamber <br /> of Commerce for recognizing the National Day of Prayer; thanked the City Manager and Code <br /> Enforcement for working with Dollar General on a needed mowing project; and asked for a placeholder <br /> to cooperate with a local residential area on addressing potholes. <br /> 10. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> (a) City Council will meet in closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section <br /> 551.074-personnel matters - for deliberation related to the appointment, employment, <br /> evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee - <br /> regarding City Manager Corby Alexander. <br /> Councilperson Garza moved that the executive session discussion be held in open session; the <br /> motion was not adopted, 7-2, Councilpersons Garza and Gillett voting in favor. The Council <br /> adjourned to executive session at 7:04 p.m. Councilperson Gillett did not attend. <br /> 11. RECONVENE into regular session and consider action, if any, on item(s) discussed in executive <br /> session. <br /> The Council reconvened into open session at 7:50 p.m. Councilperson Earp moved that Councilpersons <br /> not be permitted to use the City Zoom account for personal reasons, or for any reason unless approved <br /> by a vote of the City Council; the motion was adopted, 7-1, Councilperson Garza voting against and <br /> Councilperson Gillett abstaining. <br /> 12.
