7. REPORTS <br />a. Receive report on the La Porte Development Corporation Board meeting. [Councilperson <br />Nancy Ojeda] <br />Councilperson Ojeda reported the Board met and approved an enhancement grants for Boats, Etc. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />• Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting, January 28 <br />• Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting, February 8 <br />• City Council meeting, February 8 <br />• Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, February 18 <br />• City Council meeting, February 22 <br />• Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting, February 25 <br />City Manager Corby Alexander said there were no reports. <br />9. COUNCIL COMMENTS Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; <br />items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or <br />existing policy from the Mayor, Councilmembers, and City staff, for which no formal action will <br />be discussed or taken. <br />Councilpersons congratulated all the employees recognized this evening, thanking them for their <br />service; expressed pleasure about the fencing going up on the other side of Spencer Highway, noted <br />looking forward to hearing more of the Pecan Park plan; shared concern, with the additional <br />construction around Morgan's Landing and increased senior living areas, over the increased EMS calls; <br />thanked Parks Director Ros Epting for excellent management of the vaccine event; congratulated <br />Michael Dolby and Finance on the award they received recently, for the eighth year in a row; thanked <br />the Council for the Bay Terrace drainage project; and asked that the decorative street lights on Main <br />Street be checked, as some have been reported as being out; <br />ADJOURN — Without objection, Mayor Rigby adjourned the meeting at 6:57 p.m. <br />LeeJWdodward,Secretayr�� ^�' <br />jo <br />COX—_= <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />January 25, 2021, Council Meeting Minutes <br />
