7. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2021-3846, setting the <br />City of La Po,rte's ad valorem tax rate for the 2021-22 Fiscal Year. [Michael Dolby, Finance <br />Director] <br />Councilperson Garza moved to approve a $0.70 tax rate for the 2021-22 ad valorem tax rate; the <br />motion was not seconded and was not considered. <br />Councilperson McCaul�ley moved to adopt Ordinance 2021-3846, setting the City of La Porte's ad <br />valorem tax rate for the 2021-22 Fiscal Year: the motion was seconded by Council person Bentley. <br />The motion was adopted, 8-1, Councilperson Garza voting against (roll call vote). <br />8. REPORTS <br />a. Receive report on the La Porte Development Corporation Board meeting. [Councilperson <br />Engelken, Chair] <br />Councilperson: Engelken shared that the Board approved: <br />• a grant for 831-901 South Broadway, <br />• publishing notice of the 60-day comment period for CIP projects, <br />• funding for the La Porte Gold Star Families Monument, <br />• updates to the Enhancement Grant Program policy, and <br />• a proposal for financial incentives and publication of a 60-day notice for comment on the <br />Battleground Saloon project. <br />9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />• Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting, Oct. 11 <br />• City Council meeting, Oct 11 <br />Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Oct. 21 <br />City Council meeting, Oct. 25 <br />Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting, Oct. 28 <br />City Manager Alexander said there were no reports. <br />10.
