7. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a. Authorize the City Manager to execute an interlocal agreement with the Harris County Flood <br />Control District to receive funds for the Brookglen Subdivision Drainage Improvement <br />Project. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director Of Public Works, informed the Council that the Drainage and <br />Flooding Committee, at their 5 p.m. meeting, had approved a recommendation to the Council: to <br />enter into the interlocal agreement, Councilperson En-gelken moved to execute an interlocal <br />agreement with the Harris County Flood Control District to receive funds for the Brookglen <br />Subdivision Drainage Improvement Project: the motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Martin..; <br />the motion was adopted, 9-0, <br />8. REPORTS <br />a. Receive report of the La Porte Draining and Flooding Committee meeting. [Mayor Pro Tern <br />Martin] <br />Mayor Pro Tern Martin said the Committee had discussed the status of the property at McCabe <br />Road, received an update on the detention pond interlocal agreement with the City of Pasadena, <br />approved a recommendation to the Council to approve an interlocal agreement with HCFCD for <br />the Brookglen Subdivision Drainage Improvement Project, and set the next meeting for February <br />14,2022. <br />9. COUNCIL COMMENTS Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; <br />items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or <br />existing policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will <br />be discussed or taken. <br />Councilpersons wished all a happy new year; thanked the Council for approving the Brookglen HCFCD <br />interlocal agreement; expressed appreciation of pressure washing at Pecan Park; offered condolences <br />to the family of a retired EMS employee Randy Hanks who passed away recently, noting he would be <br />sorely missed; and announced that Mike Sullivan had again been elected to the HCAD Board as the <br />Director Rqprpsenting Cities Other Than Houston, congratulating Mr. Sullivan, who was the City's <br />nominee. � <br />ME <br />
