9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />• Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, February 16, <br />• City Council meeting, February 27 <br />The City Manager said there were no reports. <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items <br />of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing <br />policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be <br />discussed or taken. <br />Councilpersons congratulated Mr. Janoch and Mr. Wingate; thanked the City employees who assisted <br />the City of Deer Park after the recent tornadoes; and expressed concern about Mr. Shannahan's <br />remarks and asked for review of noise ordinances to ensure adherence to policy. <br />11. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />a. City Council will meet in closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code Section <br />551.071(2) - Consultation with Attorney and Section 221.072 - Deliberation regarding <br />purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property: Meet with City Manager and <br />Assistant City Attorney to discuss proposed non -annexation agreements for property <br />located in the Battleground and Bayport Industrial Districts, and provide direction on <br />negotiations between the City of La Porte and industry representatives regarding same. <br />b. City Council will meet in closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.072 - <br />Deliberation regarding purchase, exchange, lease, orvalue of real property: Meet with City <br />Manager and Assistant City Attorney to discuss potential purchase of real property <br />located in the City of La Porte. <br />The Council moved into executive session at 6:31 p.m. <br />12. RECONVENE into open session and consider action, if any, on item(s) discussed in executive <br />session. <br />The Council reconvened from executive session at 8:00 p.m. The Mayor said the Council has given <br />the City Manager direction to continue researching 212 agreements and report back to the Council. <br />
