REPORTS <br /> a. Receive report of the Fiscal Affairs Committee meeting. [Mayor Pro Tem Engelken] <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Engelken said the Committee met, recommended item 6b above, received a <br /> purchasing report, and set the next meeting for November 13. <br /> b. Receive report of the Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting. [Councilperson Martin] <br /> Councilperson Martin said the Committee met, received a briefing on the Brookglen Subdivision <br /> Storm Sewer Improvements project, and set the next meeting for August 14. <br /> 9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> • Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, July 20 <br /> • La Porte Development Corporation Board meeting, July 24 <br /> • City Council meeting, July 24 <br /> The City Manager said staff would be addressing the items in Mrs. Turner's photos. <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items <br /> of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing <br /> policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be <br /> discussed or taken. <br /> The Council thanked Mrs. Turner for taking time to address the Council; congratulated the Parks <br /> Department for the success of the Red, White, and Brews event; thanked Officer Mendoza for her <br /> professionalism; congratulated the employees recognized for service awards; and expressed pleasure <br /> and thanked the Rotary Club for the Fourth of July parade. <br /> 11.
