COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items <br />of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing <br />policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be <br />discussed or taken. <br />Councilpersons thanked staff for preparing the 2023-2024 Proposed Budget, congratulated the La <br />Porte 2023 6U and 7U All -Stars World Series teams; recognized the employees who work outside in <br />the heat; and offered a tip of the hat to Ray Mayo and Public Works for handling recent water issues <br />due to the drought. <br />11. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />a. Texas Government Code Section 551.074 - Personnel Matters. Deliberation regarding the <br />appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a <br />public officer or employee - City Council will meet in closed session to discuss appointment <br />of candidate for City of La Porte Municipal Court of Record judge position. <br />The Council adjourned into executive session at 7.40 p.m. <br />12.
