PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES <br />a. Public Hearing for Fiscal Year 2024-26 Proposed Budget - The City Council <br />will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding their consideration <br />of the proposed City of La Porte, Texas, budget for the 2024-25 Fiscal Year; <br />followed by discussion and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2024-4019, <br />approving the City of La Porte, Texas, Fiscal Year 2024-25 Proposed Budget. <br />[Michael Dolby, Finance Director] <br />Mayor Helton opened the public hearing at 6:12 p.m. Michael Dolby provided a <br />presentation. There were no comments by members of the public. Mayor Helton <br />closed the public hearing at 6:24 p.m. <br />Councilperson Martin signed a conflict -of -interest affidavit before the meeting <br />regarding a vote on the portion of the budget allocating funds for the City contract <br />with the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce and did not participate in this <br />particular vote only. Mayor Helton placed the portion of the proposed FY2024-25 <br />budget allocating funds for the City contract with the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber <br />of Commerce before the assembly the motion was adopted 8-0 taken by roll call <br />vote. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Engelken moved to approve the full proposed FY 2024-2025 <br />budget; the motion was seconded by Councilperson Williams the motion was <br />adopted 9-0 taken by roll call vote. <br />
