PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES a. Public Hearing for Fiscal Year 2024-26 Proposed Budget - The City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding their consideration of the proposed City of La Porte, Texas, budget for the 2024-25 Fiscal Year; followed by discussion and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2024-4019, approving the City of La Porte, Texas, Fiscal Year 2024-25 Proposed Budget. [Michael Dolby, Finance Director] Mayor Helton opened the public hearing at 6:12 p.m. Michael Dolby provided a presentation. There were no comments by members of the public. Mayor Helton closed the public hearing at 6:24 p.m. Councilperson Martin signed a conflict -of -interest affidavit before the meeting regarding a vote on the portion of the budget allocating funds for the City contract with the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce and did not participate in this particular vote only. Mayor Helton placed the portion of the proposed FY2024-25 budget allocating funds for the City contract with the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce before the assembly the motion was adopted 8-0 taken by roll call vote. Mayor Pro Tem Engelken moved to approve the full proposed FY 2024-2025 budget; the motion was seconded by Councilperson Williams the motion was adopted 9-0 taken by roll call vote.
