Councilperson Martin said the Committee met, received updates on drainage projects with the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) and internal projects, and set the next meeting for October 14. 9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS • Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, September 19 • La Porte Development Corporation Board of Directors meeting, September 23 • City Council meeting, September 23 Mr. Alexander said there were no reports. 10.COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda, items of community interest, and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be discussed. Councilpersons thanked Finance Director Michael Dolby, his team, and all City staff for the work on the budget; thanked Johnny Morales and OEM, Ray Mayo and Public Works, and other team members who conducted all the recover from Hurricane Beryl; expressed appreciation to LPPD Chief Pullig, Assistant Chief Krueger, and Officer Steven Guerrero for attending an FICA meeting and to Chief Pullig specifically for ensuring that so many of the HOAs have been visited since assuming his position, noted what how wonderful the First Friday and Trade Days events had been over the past weekend; and announced the first City Cycle third Tuesday evening ride with Mayor Helton on September 17, a 6-mile circuit beginning at Main Street Food Truck and Entertainment Park. 11. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Council will adjourn into executive session without vote unless an objection is raised. a.
