The City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the recommendation of the Dangerous Buildings Inspections Board for condemnation of a dangerous/substandard structure located at 10618 North L St.; followed by discussion and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2023-3938 ordering condemnation of dangerous/substandard structure located at 10618 North L St., La Porte, Texas. [Curtis Tarver, Deputy Building Official] Mayor Rigby opened the public hearing at 6.14 p.m. Curtis Tarver gave the report and said the owner of 222 South Ohio had submitted a signed voluntary authorization to demolish earlier today. The owner of 10618 North L asked for an additional 30 days. Councilperson Martin moved to postpone the public hearing until the February 12, 2024, City Council meeting; the motion was seconded by Councilperson Williams; the motion was adopted, 7-0. b.
