Mayor Pro Tern Engelken moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion was <br />seconded by Councilperson McLarrin; the motion was adopted, 5-0. <br />5. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES <br />a. The 3ity Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding a <br />recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny adoption of <br />amendments to the City's Future Land Use Plan Map Component of the <br />Comprehensive Plan for a 0.137-acre property located at 1706 S. Broadway Street <br />and 2121 S. Broadway Street, and legally described as Tracts 24-25, Block 1446, La <br />Porte, Harris County, Texas, by changing the land use designation from 'Low <br />Density Residential' to 'Commercial'; followed by discussion and possible action to <br />adopt Ordinance 2024-3966 amending the City's Future Land Use Plan Map <br />Component of the Comprehensive Plan for a 0.137-acre property located at 1706 S. <br />Broadway Street and 2121 S. Broadway Street, and legally described as Tracts 24- <br />25, Block 1446, La Porte, Harris County, Texas, by changing the land use <br />designation from 'Low Density Residential' to 'Commercial'. [Teresa Evans, Director <br />of Planning and Development] <br />Mayor Rigby said the City Manager had notified the Council that the applicant had <br />withdrawn the application and that items 5 a. and b. would not be considered. <br />b.
