Mayor Pro Tern Engelken moved to approve the consent agenda; the motion was seconded by Councilperson McLarrin; the motion was adopted, 5-0. 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES a. The 3ity Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny adoption of amendments to the City's Future Land Use Plan Map Component of the Comprehensive Plan for a 0.137-acre property located at 1706 S. Broadway Street and 2121 S. Broadway Street, and legally described as Tracts 24-25, Block 1446, La Porte, Harris County, Texas, by changing the land use designation from 'Low Density Residential' to 'Commercial'; followed by discussion and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2024-3966 amending the City's Future Land Use Plan Map Component of the Comprehensive Plan for a 0.137-acre property located at 1706 S. Broadway Street and 2121 S. Broadway Street, and legally described as Tracts 24- 25, Block 1446, La Porte, Harris County, Texas, by changing the land use designation from 'Low Density Residential' to 'Commercial'. Broadway Street, and legally described as Tracts 24-25, Block 1446, La Porte, Harris County, Texas; followed by discussion and possible action to adopt Ordinance 2024-3965 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 'Zoning' by granting Zone Change #23-92000002, a change from Low Density Residential (R-1) to General Commercial (GC) for a 0.137-acre property located at i 06 S.
