5. Consider approval or other action concerning the appeal of certain test questions <br /> missed by a candidate during the Police Lieutenant Promotional Examination that was <br /> administered on December 3, 2013, in accordance with the Chapter 143 Local <br /> Government Code, and The City of La Porte Police Officers' Civil Service Rules and <br /> Regulations <br /> Question 41, appealed by Sergeants Krueger and Ditrich: Debra Gallington made a motion <br /> to change the test key answerfrom A'to C. Les Bird seconded the motion. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Question 51, appealed by Sgt. Krueger: Les Bird made a motion to keep the answer the same <br /> as the test key. Debra Gallington seconded. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Question 95, appealed by Sgt. Ditrich: Debra Gallington made a motion to accept all answers <br /> of A, B, C, and D. Les Bird seconded. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Les Bird made a motion to approve test scores with the aforementioned updates. Keith <br /> Trainer seconded. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> 6. Administrative Reports <br /> Les Bird requested early notice for the annual Civil Service Seminar. <br /> 7. Board Comments—Matters appearing on the agenda; Recognition of community members, <br /> city employees, and upcoming events; Inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or <br /> existing policy <br /> There were no Board comments. <br /> 8. Adjournment <br /> At 3:15 p.m. Les Bird made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Debra Gallington seconded. <br /> The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Approved and passed this 12th day of February, 2015. <br /> Keith Trainer, Chairman <br /> Civil Service Commission <br /> 2 <br />
