Call to order. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Chairman Don Hill at 6:08 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Roll call of members. <br /> <br />Members in attendance for roll call were Don Hill, Paula Swearingen, T.J. Walker, Susan <br />Robinson, Herman Berges, and Jeanne Zemanek. <br /> <br />3. Consider approval of January 5, 2010, meeting minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by T. J. Walker to approve the January 5, 2010, meeting minutes. Second by Jeanne <br />Zemanek. The minutes were approved as presented with all in favor. <br /> <br />4. Develop timeline for activities leading up to Census Day, April 1, 2010. <br /> <br />~ Yvonne Moore spoke briefly about the presentation she gave at the Main Street <br />Morning Brew held earlier in the day. Also in attendance were Don Hill, Herman Berges, <br />and Masood Malik. <br />~ On behalf of the Committee, Paula Swearingen applied for and received a $2,000 grant <br />from the United Way. The Committee will utilize the funds for outreach; $1,000 will be <br />used to purchase and distribute census themed bi-Iingual pre-school coloring <br />books/colors to help reach historically undercounted young Hispanics. The remaining <br />$1,000 will be used to purchase and distribute census themed t-shirts to help reach <br />historically undercounted young adult male African-Americans. <br />
