<br />Minutes of Drainage and Flooding Committee September 10,2007- Page 2 <br /> <br />The committee reviewed and discussed Resolution 99-31 of the "Public Improvement Criteria <br />Manual ("PICM") Called for in Ordinance 1444 of the City of La Porte (The Development <br />Ordinance of the City of La Porte), relating to Drainage Criteria and Improvements. <br /> <br />The committee determined a subcommittee consisting of Chairman Mosteit and Committee <br />Member Moser would be assigned to meet with staff to review, discuss and ask questions <br />regarding the Fill Dirt policies and procedures for the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Chairman Mosteit requested staff provide maps of drainage canals in the City of La Porte <br />from both the Harris County Flood Control District and the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Committee Member Moser requested a Maintenance Program Schedule (including de-silting <br />of ditches) from the City of La Porte and Harris County Flood Control District. He also <br />inquired if there was a possible need for a Engineering Consultant to assist the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Committee Member Engelken requested an update on studies/survey conducted by HCFCD <br />in the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />The committee requested staff to verify Little Cedar Bayou Project being on HCFCD schedule <br />of projects. <br /> <br />6. Review Fill Dirt Policies and Procedures for the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />The committee determined a subcommittee consisting of Vice-Chairman Clausen and <br />Committee Member Engelken would be assigned to meet with staff to review, discuss and ask <br />questions regarding the Drainage Criteria for the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />7. Discuss Involvement and Coordination with Local Governmental Entities regarding Drainage <br />and Flooding issues. <br /> <br />The committee requested staff to contact surrounding cities and inquire if they are <br />experiencing drainage and flooding issues in addition to including Precinct 2, Harris County <br />Flood Control District, and Area Public Officials to distribution lists to receive notification of <br />future meetings held by the Drainage and Flooding Committee. <br /> <br />8. Committee Comments. <br /> <br />The committee had comments. <br /> <br />The next Drainage and Flooding Meeting will be held on September 24, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />9. Adjournment. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at <br />6:45 p.m. <br />
