<br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett updated the committee on the Fleetwood Drive area <br />preliminary engineering study. He advised the committee it will take approximately four <br />months or more for the study to be complete. He also noted there will be a no impact <br />study for the flood control district. <br /> <br />Mr. Gillett also informed the committee with an update on the following in house projects: <br /> <br />Creekmont project is scheduled to be finished this week. <br /> <br />Bay Oaks and Dwire will be finished in the near future. <br /> <br />Once the Bay Oaks project is complete, the next project will be the Bay Colony project. <br /> <br />In addition, there is a meeting scheduled next week to discuss the pre-check facility with ' . <br />the Port of Houston. <br /> <br />The Park Street area will be addressed as well and that will include the Lobit and A <br />flooding that Ms. Norwine was referring to earlier in the meeting. There will need to be a <br />joint effort with the Port of Houston, Harris County and the City on this project. <br /> <br />The survey for the Glen Meadows project is near completion. <br /> <br />Harris County Flood Control District representative Mr. Randolph updated the committee <br />on the city drainage issues. He informed the committee the F101-6 structure is out and <br />the concrete work has begun. <br /> <br />He further noted there had been 18 home buyouts in the Brookglen Subdivision and 2 <br />pending. There may be an additional 30 hours tied to the grant application and those <br />homeowners have been notified. <br /> <br />In addition, Mr. Clark of Harris County Flood Control provided a brief update on the <br />continued efforts for improvements on Valleybrook Street. <br /> <br />6. Set date for next meeting <br /> <br />The Drainage and Flooding Committee will not set the next meeting until the Preliminary <br />Engineering Report is finalized. It should take approximately 4 or more months for the <br />report to be completed. <br /> <br />7. Committee Comments <br /> <br />A. Matters appearing on agenda <br /> <br />B. Inquiry of staff requiring a statement of specific factual information or a recitation of <br />existing policy. <br /> <br />Committee members Leonard, Clausen and Rigby brought items to the table. <br />
