MINUTES OF THE DRAINAGE AND FLOODING COMMITTEE <br /> November 1, 2010 <br /> 1. Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Mosteit at 6:00 p.m. <br /> Committee Members Present: Chairman Mike Mosteit, Vice Chairman Mike Clausen, <br /> Members Chuck Engelken, Alternate Member John Zemanek and Alternate Member Daryl <br /> Leonard. <br /> Committee Members Absent: None <br /> Other Council members Present: None <br /> Members of City Employees Present: City Manager Ron Bottoms, City Secretary Martha <br /> Gillett, Public Works Director Steve Gillett, Office Coordinator Peggy Lee, GIS Manager <br /> Brian Sterling, Planning Director Tim Tietjens and City Engineer Rodney Slaton.. <br /> Others Present: John Saveedra of Harris County, John Randolph of Harris County, Mr. <br /> Rothmund, Cheryl Westmoreland, Donald Davis, Linda Smith, Charles Nute, Manly <br /> Boudreaux, Marie Wallace, Richard and Ellen Winn and Jerry and Philyis Rusk. <br /> 2. Consider approval of Minutes of the Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting held on <br /> June 28, 2010 — M. Gillett. <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Engelken to approve the minutes as presented. <br /> Second by Committee Member Leonard. The motion carried. <br /> Ayes: Mosteit, Engelken and Leonard <br /> Nays: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Absent: Clausen <br /> 3. Receive presentation on status of Brookglen Detention Pond projects and provide direction <br /> to staff - T. Tietjens. <br /> Planning Director Tim Tietjens provided a presentation on the status of Brookglen <br /> Detention Pond projects. <br /> The committee directed staff to move forward with part of project and do a comparison <br /> between sheet flow and the detention model. <br /> 4. Receive presentation on status of various desilting projects and provide direction to staff <br /> — T. Tietjens <br /> Planning Director Tim Tietjens provided a presentation on the status various desilting <br /> projects. <br /> The committee directed staff to move forward. <br />
