related to flooding in the City of La Porte. [Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works] <br />Mr. Wingate noted there have been biweekly meetings and he expects a draft of the <br />engineering report shortly. <br />e. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status of current <br />drainage projects. [Lorenzo Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works] <br />Mr. Wingate said solicitation documents for Bayside Terrace were expected to go out by <br />the end of the month. On project 5, he said this was waiting on a determination letter from <br />the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Wingate noted that Project 6 had been added to <br />the project for 71' Street and has been completed. He said Copeland was tied to the Lomax <br />Lift Station and he did not have a report yet. <br />f. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to provide administrative staff of the <br />City with direction, if necessary, regarding additional drainage concerns. [Lorenzo <br />Wingate, Assistant Director of Public Works] <br />Member Williams noted there were some drainage issues in Lomax due to runoff from <br />some properties onto others. She and Mr. Wingate confirmed these were private property <br />issues but that the City had been assisting where it could. Member Engelken thanked the <br />City Manager and Public Works for cleaning up the trash on the lots bought out by the <br />Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) and asked that citations be issued for each <br />of the lots for high grass and weeds. Mr. Alexander confirmed the staff would proceed. <br />Chair Martin expressed a desire for a better relationship with HCFCD and suggested a <br />special meeting with them. <br />4. SET NEXT MEETING <br />The next meeting was set for April 10, 2023. <br />S.
