Precinct 2 current and future plans related to Flooding in the City of LaPorte. <br />[Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Mr. Mayo said there were two interlocal agreements pending, for F-216 Phase 1 <br />and F-101 Channel Improvements. He said the F-212 project design was at 70% <br />and that the City of La Porte would pay a portion of the street repairs once the <br />project is completed. <br />d. Current Drainage Project Update - Presentation, discussion, and possible <br />action regarding the status of current drainage projects. [Ray Mayo, Director <br />of Public Works] <br />Chair Martin said he had met with staff on the Bayside Terrace Project site about <br />residents' concerns and that he appreciated the timely responses from staff. <br />Mr. Mayo said the Northside Neighborhood Drainage Project ponds were <br />proceeding and that TXDoT was considering permits for utility placement that <br />would help project progress. He said that the Brookglen project was on schedule <br />to bid late this month. <br />Mr. Mayo noted property owners in Battleground Vista were seeking opportunity to <br />build on their properties, and that drainage improvements there would run about <br />$8 million, and that it would likely be necessary to partner with the Harris County <br />Flood Control District for such a project. <br />Member Williams expressed appreciation for ditch clearing in the Battleground <br />Estates area. <br />e. Additional Drainage Concerns - Presentation, discussion, and possible <br />action to provide administrative staff of the City with direction, if necessary, <br />regarding additional drainage concerns. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public <br />Works] <br />No additional concerns were addressed. <br />4. SET NEXT MEETING <br />Without objection, the next meeting was set for July 8. <br />5. COMMITTEE COMMENT <br />Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items of <br />community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information <br />or existing policy from the Committee members and City staff, for which no formal <br />action will be discussed. <br />There were no comments. <br />6.
