Precinct 2 current and future plans related to Flooding in the City of LaPorte. <br />[Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Jeremy Ratcliff of Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) provided updates <br />on partner projects and answered questions on mowing and de -silting needs. <br />d. Current Drainage Project Update - Presentation, discussion, and possible <br />action regarding the status of current drainage projects. [Ray Mayo, Director <br />of Public Works] <br />Mr. Mayo provided an update, noting the City was meeting weekly with the Bayside <br />Terrace contractor. <br />e. Additional Drainage Concerns - Presentation, discussion, and possible <br />action to provide administrative staff of the City with direction, if necessary, <br />regarding additional drainage concerns. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public <br />Works] <br />Candyce Ward, P.E., CFM, with CobbFendley, which serves as the City's <br />Floodplain Administrator, answered questions concerning cumulative damage. <br />Chair Martin asked the Committee to be cautious in considering trying to achieve <br />additional discounts at the risk of repetitive loss tracking. <br />4. SET NEXT MEETING <br />Without objection Chair Martin announced the next meeting would be set for <br />Seotember 9. <br />5. COMMITTEE COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the <br />agenda; items of community interest,' and/orinquiries of staff regarding specific factual <br />information or existing policy from the Committee members and City staff, for which <br />no formal action will be discussed. <br />The Committee thanked Mr. Ratcliff and Ms. Ward for attending. <br />
