Askins, <br />City Attorney; Lee Woodward, City Secretary <br />The City of La Porte Drainage and Flooding Committee met in a regular meeting <br />on February 10, 2025, at the City Hall Council chamber, <br />604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Martin called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT <br />There were no comments. <br />3. STATUTORYAGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />January 13, 2025, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary/PIO] <br />Member Engelken moved to approve the minutes of the January 13, 2025, <br />meeting the motion was seconded by Chair Martin: the motion was adopted. 2-0. <br />b. 100-Acre-Foot Pond - Presentation, discussion, and possible action <br />regarding the status of the 100-acre-foot detention pond project near the <br />Pasadena Convention Center and Brookglen Subdivision, in connection with <br />amended interlocal agreement between the City of La Porte and the City of <br />Pasadena. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Mr. Mayo said the project is scheduled to be bid by the end of March, with possible <br />groundbreaking by the end of June. <br />c. HCFCD Project Update - Presentation, discussion, and possible action <br />regarding Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) and Harris County <br />Precinct 2 current and future plans related to flood mitigation in the City of <br />La Porte. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Jeremy Ratcliff of the Harris County Flood Control District said the first phase of <br />the Brookglen Detention Basin project was substantially completed today.
