<br />MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />ELECTRICAL BOARD, CITY OF LA PORTE <br />MARCH 30, 1971 <br />530 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: H. P. Pfeiffer, E. A. Thomas, <br />A. C. Merchant and Knox Askins. <br />MEMBERS OF THE BOARD ABSENT: None. <br />+ + + <br />1, Chairman Pfeiffer stated that board member M. T. Johnson <br />had been transferred from the area and suggested that <br />Walter D. Gernand, Houston Lighting and Power Company's <br />area Engineer be recommended to serve on the Board. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Pfeiffer reported that three men had taken the <br />test for master license's on .March 10, 1971 and the <br />test had been graded by Mr. Jay Traylor. The results <br />were: <br />Max Wade------Grade of 70-passed <br />F. J. Pruett--Grade of 84-passed <br />J. H. Moore --Grade of 59-failed <br />The Board received all three of the test papers for review. <br />Motion by Thomas, seconded by Merchant that master license's <br />be granted to Max Wade and F. J. Pruett. Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />3. Discussion was held on the use of aluminum wiring. <br />A recommendation will be forth coming. <br />+ + + <br />THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS AT HAND, THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED. <br />s/Knox Askins <br />Acting ecretary. <br />i <br />
