f ~~ MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTE FIRE CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE FEBRUARY 10, 1977 MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE PRESENT: Mayor J.J. Meza, Fire Marshal D.R. McLaughlin, Mr. Vic Taylor, Mr. Fred Westergren, Mr. Dennis Dunham, Mr. Jack Lockridge, Mr. J.M. Goodman, Mr. Rusty Shepherd, Mr. Roy Groda and Mr. Paul Barrett. Mr. Rusty Shepherd was representing Mr. Russell Shepherd. Mr. Paul Barrett was representing Mr. Royal Shepherd. MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ABSENT: Mr. Joe Sease and Mr. FI. Car°los Smith. PRESIDING: Fire Marshal D.R. McLaughlin + + + 1. CALL TO ORDER - Fire Marshs,l D.R. McLaughlin call the meeting to order. There was open discussion about the fire code, why the different members of the committee was picked and what was to be accomplished in the meetings to come. Motion by Mr. Dennis Dunham, seconded by Mr. Fred Westergren, that Mr. Jack Lockridge, be the committee chairman. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: All For Nays: None It was recommend by the committee that a person from the chemical or petroleum industry, be added to the committee. It was recommend by the committee that the fire zones be set in the city befor the code review starts. It was recommended by the committee that each member have a copy of the city map. It was recommended by the committee, that regular meetings be set for the First and Third, Thursdays of each month. The next meeting being March 3, 1977, at 7:30P.M., at city hall.
