• MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTE FIRE CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE APRIL 10, 1979 MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE PRESENT: Jimmy Spradling, Joe Sease, Rusty Shepperd, Jim Hudgens, Fred Westergren. Vic Taylor, J.M. Goodman, D.R. McLaughlin, Jim Counts, MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ABSENT: R.L. Caldwell, Roy Groda, Tom Barrett. OTHER PERSONS PRESENT: Duane Matula. PRESIDING: Jim Hudgens, Chairman + + + CALL TO ORDER: Jim Hudgens called the regular meeting to order. READING OF MINUTES: Secretary Paul Hickenbottom read the minutes o t e ast meeting dated March 20, 1979. The minutes were approved as read by the following vote: Ayes: All for Nays: None OLD BUSINESS: Secretary Paul Hickenbottom informed Bayshore Chamber off-Commerce manager Lillian Gunderlach, that their representative Mr. Tom Barrett had not attended any of the Fire Code Review Com- mittee meetings and the committee was requesting that he be replaced by someone else. The Chamber of Commerce executive board has met and Mr. Tom Barrett has been replaced by Mr. Jerry Carpenter, owner and operator of The La Porte Ambulance Service. NEW BUSINESS: Fire Marshal D.R. McLaughlin, as instructed by c airman Jim Hudgens, to revise section 16.48, subsection A, then presented his revision of that section. The revision is as follows: The 2100 gallon limitation of flammable liquids to be delivered at any one time, has been dropped. Flammable liquids shall not be delivered between the hours of 7:00 a. m. through 9:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. through 4:30 p.m., on school days only. Chairman Jim Hudgens then instructed the fire marshal's office staff to send letters to all persons concerned, for their review and comments on the possible new revision of this section. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Fred Westergren, seconded by J.M. Goodman that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried by the following vote:
