Meza, City Manager Jack Owen, Fire Chief Joe Sease, David <br />Paulissen, Robert Byers, Wilson Dugger, Mark Williams, James Sitton, <br />Al Fields, Morris Rose, Delbert Walker, Tony White, and Steve Gillett. <br />Tony White was representing Paul Hickenbottom and Steve Gillett was <br />representing Jerry Hodge. <br />MEMBERS OF THE CON~'IITTEE ABSENT: <br />Gregg Y E is ar an Tam Handy <br />OTHERS PRESENT: <br />Bob Mc Laug in, Bob Larson, and John Dunham <br />PRESIDING: Mayor J.J. Meta. <br />1. CALL ID ORDER - Mayor Meta. called the meeting to order. <br />2. READING OF NIIN[~i'ES- The minutes of the last meeting were not read, <br />but will be read on February 11, 1982. <br />3. OLD BUSINESS - Delbert Walker asked about the day care problem that <br />came up last meeting. Mayor Meza explained what actions were taken <br />to solve the problem. Tony White explained what revisions were <br />requested to be approved by the committee to solve any future <br />problems concerning day care facilities. <br />4. NEW BUSINESS - Bob Larson addressed the committee for a variance to <br />Article 22, Division 1, Sec. 22.1 Sub. (b) of the Fire Code. Bob <br />Larson is Vice President of Gulf Motorship, Inc. and the variance <br />requested is for an L.P. gas installation on North "L" Street in <br />La Porte. <br />After discussion from the committee concerning this variance, Morris <br />Rose made a motion to grant a variance to Article 22, Division 1, <br />Sec. 22.1 Sub. (b) contingent upon the approval of the Railroad <br />Conmission. Also included in this motion was a review of the Gulf <br />Motorship, Inc. situation, and if natural gas was available then <br />natural gas would be required. <br />NI~TION SECONDID: David Paulissen <br />AYES: All for <br />NAYS: None <br />
