.~ a ~ • <br />Fire Code - Regular Meeting <br />February 11, 1982 - Page 2 <br />FIRE CODE REVISION - Article 2 - Division 2 - Section 2.3 -Open <br />discussion by the committee. <br />Nlotian to approve this revision was made by Delbert Walker. <br />Motion seconded: David Paulissen <br />Motion approved by a vote of: <br />Ayes: All For <br />Nays: None <br />FIRE CODE REVISION.- Article 2 - Divsion 2 - Section 2.9 - Open <br />iscussion y the committee on t e revision <br />Motion was made by Jerry Hodge to accept revision with the following change <br />in Subsection (d): <br />An operational .corridor shall be maintained to any fire hydrant, fire <br />department cormection for a sprinkler system, standpipe system to other <br />installed fire protection equipment which is installed for use by the city <br />fire department inside of a shopping center, school, hospital, medical complex, <br />institution or any other business. Such corridor must be a minim~mn of thirty <br />(30) feet wide ar larger, if determined by the Fire Marshal, to permit a <br />current model pumper to cormect large suction hose to a large (four (4) inch) <br />hydrant outlet or other installed fire protection equipment. The Fire Marshal <br />may require collision guards and paint striping to protect the hydrant and <br />identify the operational area. <br />Motion seconded: Paul Hickenbottom <br />Motion failed as follows: <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 6 <br />Motion made by Carlos .Smith to accept revision with the following change to <br />Subsection (d): <br />An operational corridor shall be maintained to any fire hydrant, fire <br />department cormection for a sprinkler system, standpipe system to other <br />installed fire protection equipment which is installed for use by the city <br />fire department inside of a shopping center, school, hospital, medical complex, <br />institution or any other business.
