READING OF THE MINUTES - Minutes of February 11 & February 19, 1982 <br />were rea <br />Motion to approve the minutes as read made by Jerry Hodge. <br />Motion seconded by Paul R. Hickenbottom <br />Ayes: All For <br />Nays: None <br />3. OLD BUSINESS - Article 2 - Division 2 - Section 2.9 - Subsection (d) which was <br />passe on 2-18-82 was presented by Paul R. Hickenbottom. The committee discussed <br />and approved the revision with the following changes: <br />(d) An operational corridor shall be maintained to any fire hydrant, fire <br />department connection for a sprinkler system, standpipe system to other <br />installed fire protection equipment which is installed for use by the city <br />fire department inside of a shopping center, school, hospital, medical <br />complex, institution or any other business. Such corridors must be at least <br />twenty-five (25) feet wide to permit a current model puaq~er to coruzect <br />large suction to a large hydrant outlet or other installed fire protection <br />equipment. If the operational corridor is in excess of one hundred fifty <br />(150) feet in length and dead ends, there shall be a turnaround area <br />provided. The Fire Chief shall approve the operational corridors and/or <br />turnaround areas. The Fire Marshal may require collision guards and paint <br />striping to protect the hydrant and/or other installed fire protection <br />equipment and to identify the operational area. <br />Motion made by: Delbert Walker <br />Motion seconded: Jerry Hodge <br />Ayes: All For <br />Nays: None <br />
