PAGE 3 <br />(e) Vehicles transporting flammable and/or combustible products shall not be <br />parked or garaged in any building other than those specifically approved for use <br />by the Fire Marshal. <br />Motion to approve as presented made by Delbert Walker <br />Motion seconded: David Paulissen <br />Ayes: 9 <br />Nays: 0 <br />FIRE CODE REVISION <br />Antic e 7 - Division 1 - Section 17.1 (a & b) was discussed and tabled <br />for further study. <br />FLRE CODE REVISION. <br />Antic e - Division 2 - Section 17.7 Subsection a-b-c was discussed and <br />approved to read as follows. <br />ARTICLE 17: FLAMKABLE FINISHES, APPLICATION OF <br />DIVISION 2: SPRAY FINISHING <br />SEC. 7. Con ct o ammable and/or combustible s~ <br />in uz s use or ass y, a tiona institu <br />t <br />events. <br />(a) Flammable and/or combustible spray finishing operations shall not be <br />conducted in buildings being used for assembly, educational, institutional <br />or residential occupancies, except in a room designed for the purpose, <br />protected with an approved system of automatic sprinklers and separated <br />vertically and horizontally from other areas by construction complying with <br />the requirements of the building code. <br />(b) In other occupancies, all flammable and/or combustible finishing <br />operations shall be performed in an approved spray booth. <br />(c) Flammable and/or combustible spray finishing operations shall be <br />prohibited in basements or sub-basements, except in approved spray booths and <br />by written permission of the Fire Marshal. <br />Motion to approve as presented made by Delbert Walker <br />Motion seconded: Robert Byars <br />Ayes: 9 <br />Nays: 0 <br />FIRE CODE REVISION <br />Antic e - Division 2 - Sec. 17.13 (b) was discussed and approved as <br />presented below: <br />(b) Each spray booth having a frontal area of nine (9) or more square feet shall <br />be protected wa_th a sprinkler system designed and installed in accordance with <br />Article 13, Division 5, Section 3.11, Subsection (d) of the Fire Code. <br />Motion to approve as presented made by David Paulissen <br />Motion seconded: Delbert Walker <br />Ayes: 9 <br />Nays: 0 <br />FIRE CODE REVISION <br />Artc~.e ~~. - Division 1 = Sec. 21.12 was discussed and approved as read: <br />ARTICLE 21 HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS <br />DIVISION GENERAL. <br />SEC. V 'cles trans ort' hazardous materials. <br />~o'person s operate any v is e transportuig any corrosive, hypergolic, <br />or pyrophoric material unless at the time of such transportation there is <br />displayed upon each side and the front and rear of the vehicle, placards as per <br />DOT regulations. At no time shall a vehicle be allowed to park in a predominately <br />residential area, or within two thousand (2,000) feet of a school campus, except <br />in case of emergency, at which time the Fire Marshal's office shall be notified. <br />
