<br />PENSION SYSTEM CONTRACT AMENDMENT <br />TEXAS EMERGENCY SERVICES RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br />City of La Porte on behalf of the La Porte Volunteer Fire Department <br /> <br />Effective October 1, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />1. The Commissioner shall bill governing entities on a quarterly basis on the <br />last business day of November, February, May, and August. <br /> <br />2. To receive payment, the Office shall submit an invoice summarizing <br />contribution charges to the billing address of the Governing Entity. <br /> <br />3. The Commissioner shall bill the governing entity for: <br />a) Monthly contributions for participating members, <br />b) Prior service contributions, <br />c) TLFFRA pension payments on behalf of the department, <br />d) Late payment interest charges, <br />e) Administrative penalties, and <br />f) Other appropriate charges. <br /> <br />E. Payments are due within 30 days after the invoice date. Late payments accrue <br />interest at the most recent assumed actuarial rate of return on investments of the fund. <br /> <br />SECTION IX. <br /> <br />GOVERNING LAW <br /> <br />This Contract shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of <br />Texas.
