<br />Minutes of the La Porte Audit Committee - January 23,2006 - Page 2 <br /> <br />It was noted there was a minor problem in the Single Audit with the quarterly investment report, <br />however corrections have already been made. <br /> <br />All prior year's audit comments have been resolved. <br /> <br />There were no significant items to be reported and staff was complemented. <br /> <br />6. Review request for Habitat for Humanity Regarding Acquisition of the Delinquent Properties <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns provided the committee with an overview of the request. <br /> <br />The committee directed staff to move forward on property to secure market value price. <br /> <br />Jim Counts of Habitat for Humanity noted they are seeking additional property in the City of La <br />Porte and have also been working with the Port of Houston on property they own. <br /> <br />7. Assistant Finance Director, Michael Dolby provided the credit card report. <br /> <br />Mr. Dolby noted there were no charges out of the ordinary to be reported. He noted the hotel <br />charge for John Joerns on Ms. Feazelle's credit card has been reversed by the hotel. <br /> <br />8. Administrative Reports. <br /> <br />Staff had no administrative items to report. <br /> <br />9. Committee Comments <br /> <br />Committee members Moser and Engelken made comments. <br /> <br />10. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at <br />5:38 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Beasley to adjourn.
