• • r ~ U Golf Course Advisory Board Meeting Minutes February 4, 1988 Page 2 Bob Herrera brought up the question that if 9 holes of the course were ready by May 15th, could the course be opened for these holes until the rest is complete. Alex agreed that this could be done and everyone seemed to be in favor of doing this. Target date for opening the course is approximately June 1, 1988. The parking and entrance bids have been received and will be presented to council for approval. As soon as this is done the construction on this phase will start. • At this point in the meeting Mr. Hayes brought up the fact that it seemed that Thursday was a better day to have the Board meetings. The attendance was much better and it seemed more convenient for each member. Mr. Herrera stressed the fact that on Thursday the Board didn't have to rush to complete their meeting so Court could get in the Council Chambers. It was decided that Thursday, 12:00 noon would be the day for the Board meetings. Green fees and grolf cart rental fees: Moved from the beginning of the meeting to the last item for discussion. Jim Longnecker made a motion to accept the recommended rate structure presented by Alex, this motion was seconded by Ruede Wheeler. Mr. Hayes said that these fees were in the normal range with other courses. After discussion each member felt that these rates were what we should go with. Mr. Herrera said that this would probably be taken to City Council on the 22rd of February for their approval, he requested that some members of the Board be present, especially David Brady, Chairman. For the next meeting, staff was asked to supply the Board with some information on tournament play, annual fees and our affiliation with the high school.
