LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY BOARD October 11, 1982 PRESENT: Cary Burnley, Al Fields, Susan Gilliland, Jerry Bramlett, Travis Doughty, Dave Anderson, John Armstrong, City Attorney, Jerry Hodge, Director of Public Works The meeting was called to order by Cary Burnley, at 6:30 P.M. The Board discussed the proposals that were presented at the September 20, 1982 meeting. It "as agreed upon after much discussion and the polling of all the present Board members to select the following three (3) for interviews: Turner, Collie & Braden, Inc. Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Freese & Nichols, Inc. A motion was made by Al Fields, seconded by Jerry Bramlett, with the vote being unanimous, to interview the above three (3) companies. It was also unanimously decided that Jerry Hodge would contact each of the above firms, by letter, to make arrangements for a visit to their sites. Al Fields informed the Board that he would be on vacation from November 7 through November 19, it was also felt that we should not visits sites during Thanksgiving week. The Board re~uested thank you letters be sent to all those firms who participated by sending in proposals, and also a notice of selection to the three (3) firms stating they were among those chosen to interview. A motion made to accept the mailing of letters was made by Susan Gilliland, seconded by Jerry Bramlett, with the vote being uanimous. The Board agreed that the October 18, 1982 meeting be cancelled in lieu of this meeting. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on Monday, November 15, 1982. With no further business being discussed, the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M.
