<br />LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORrJ'Y BOARD <br /> <br />November 29, 1982 <br /> <br />PRESENT: Cary Burnley, Al Fields, Susan Gilliland, Jerry Bramlett, Travis <br />Doughty, Dave Anderson, John Armstrong, City Attorney, Jack Owen, <br />City Manager, Jerry Hodge, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Cary Burnley at 6:03 P.M. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Susan Gilliland and seconded by Al Fields to accept the <br />previous meeting minutes. The vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br />At this time a brief discussion followed on how interviews of the three (3) <br />firms that submitted proposals would be conducted. <br /> <br />The following firms were represented at this meeting for interviews: <br /> <br />FREESE & NICHOLS <br /> <br />Bob Nichols <br />Elvin Copeland <br />Susan Peadon <br />Bob Barkin <br /> <br />LOCKwOOD, ANDREWS & NEWNAM <br /> <br />Bill Klot z <br />Rick French <br />Dan Clinton <br /> <br />TURNER, COLLIE & BRADEN <br /> <br />Neil Bishop <br />Jack Watkins <br />H. P. McAlister <br />William Metzger <br />Cecil Allen <br /> <br />After interviewing each of the above firms, Susan Gilliland made a motion to <br />accept Turner, Collie & Braden as the representative firm assuming an acceptable <br />contractural agreement can be reached, and also upon Council approval. This <br />motion was seconded by Travis Doughty with the vote to accept this company carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />
