MINUTES

LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY

MAY 14, 1985

1. The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Bramlett at 6:35 P.M.

MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT: President Jerry Bramlett, Vice President Al
Fields, Secretary Rick Matthews, Member Cary Burnley.

MEMBERS OF THE BOARD NOT PRESENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT: City Manager Jack Owen, Public Works Director Jerry Hodge,
City Attorney John Armstrong, Neil Bishop and Bill Metzger of Turner Collie
& Braden, Inc., Seabrook City Manager Al Holguin, Seabrook Councilman Jim White.

2. The revision of the Water Supply Feasibility Study was presented by Neil Bishop
and Bill Metzger. It was pointed out that the figures presented by La Porte
and Seabrook for water usage in 1994 may be high. The two cities would have
their engineers look at the figures again and revise them if necessary. Because
of the close proximity of the total water usage by all entities in 1994 and 2000
there was no phasing, and costs of the distribution system were based on the
year 2000 totals.

Neil Bishop said that this report will satisfy the May 1 deadline set by the
Subsidence District.

La Porte and Seabrook will review their water usage figures and have an answer
to Turner Collie & Braden by Thursday, May 16, 1985. Turner Collie & Braden will
have all revisions made by Tuesday, May 21, 1985. These will include the change
of bonding from third quarter, 1985, to first quarter, 1986.

Cary Burnley made a motion to have a meeting at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 23,
1985, at a site to be named later, so that Turner Collie & Braden can present
the report to all entities involved and that they would have until June 15, 1985
to respond. It was seconded by Rick Matthews and passed unanimously.

3. Cary Burnley made a motion to adjourn, second by Al Fields. The motion was
unanimous and the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 P.M.

cJ:!:J

, 1985

Respectfully Submitted,

~'--).'" .
- .,.', -:~:::.~~
> ~~..-~...;d
,;/ R1.ck Matthews
Secretary/Treasurer

Passed and Approved this the
