• • <br />Page Two <br />Niinutes <br />P7ovember 24, 1987 <br />Dale Conger discussed properties of different pipes and corrosion <br />techniques, costs of various types of pipe in the larder sizes, <br />costs of various types of corrosion control. systems and savings of <br />different types of corrosion control systems. Reasons .for doing a <br />Corrosion Study are: <br />a. defense against protest by pipe suppliers. <br />b. allows for competition among; pipe suppliers. <br />c. allows determination of type protection needed for <br />ferrous fittings. <br />{~uestions~were raised as to whether study is needed until pipe <br />material is determined and if. study is covered under basic <br />services, and could FiP, obtain this information from C~nIA. <br />Bob Herrera stated more study needs to be done on the necessity of <br />the Corrosion Study, that he was not completely comfortable with <br />the need of a study. <br />4. Bob Herrera discussed invoices for Espey/Huston and Baseline <br />Corporation. Staff recommends payment of 41?_,383.33 to <br />Espey/Huston, however, invoice for $5,181.90 is questioned and <br />needs further backup information from Espey/Huston, he recommends <br />not paying this invoice at this time. Dale Conger brought the <br />Board up to date on the progress made on design of rotate. (copies <br />of proposed route distributed). Recommendation was made to pay <br />Baseline Corporation"s invoice in the amount of $8,853.6. A <br />motion was made by Rick (~atthews to pay invoices as recommended by <br />staff. Seconded by Mike 4:adsworth. Notion unanimous. <br />5• Discussion was-held on Board meeting times. Mike t~?adsworth made a <br />motion to set monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month <br />at a place to be designated in agendas. Seconded by Claude <br />Graves. Motion unanimous. <br />6. Jerry Bramlett stated he has a copy of the letter to Cti~~A. from the <br />La Porte Area Gdater Authority concerning R.O.f~1. usage, along with <br />letter from Espey/Huston concerning Morgan"s Point take point. <br />
