r: <br /> <br />Page Two <br />La Porte Area Water Authority <br />Minutes <br />December 8, 1987 <br /> <br />U. John Armstrong discussed the application to the Texas Water <br />Commission for funding in the Southeast Water Purification Plant <br />for construction of transmission lines. He stated that the Texas <br />Water Commission has requested the La Porte Area Water Authority <br />to apply for Phase I and II funding at this time. Also, the Texas <br />Water Commission requested numerous items that Steve Gillett and <br />John Armstrong have compiled. <br />John Armstrong stated motion was needed to accept the following: <br />1. Resolution authorizing application to the Texas Water <br />Commission for approval of Projects and Bonds. <br />2_. La Porte Area Water Authority application for approval by <br />Texas Water Commission of Authorities, Projects and Bonds. <br />3. La Porte Area Water Authority Certificate for Resolution <br />authorizing Application to Texas Water Commission for <br />approval of Projects and Bonds. <br />Motion was made by Claude Graves to adopt Resolutions as <br />identified. Mike Wadsworth seconded. Motion was unanimous. <br />5. Bob Herrera, General Manager, made his report at this time. He <br />discussed the annexation petition of the City of Shoreacres. He <br />requested the Board members communicate the inability of <br />annexation at this time due to this not being contiguous to the <br />Authority boundaries. John Armstrong discussed the procedures for <br />adding a member to the Board. <br />Steve Gillett discussed a letter received from the Lakeland Group <br />about easements and take point for Bay MUD in order to get water <br />to them. <br />John Joerns discussed blue prints concerning the application to <br />Texas Water Commission showing boundaries and service areas of the <br />Authority. He distributed copies to all Board members. <br />Bob Herrera reminded al.l Board members of the next scheduled <br />meeting which will. be January 12, 1988. <br />6. There was no Presidents report. <br />
