• <br />' LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 7, 1988 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President, Jerry <br />Bramlett. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: President Jerry Bramlett, Vice President Richard <br />Matthews, Secretary Claude Graves, and Member Mike Wadsworth. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: John Joerns, Assistant City Manager; Buddy <br />Jacobs, Assistant Public Works Director; Authority Attorney John <br />Armstrong; Dale Conger of Espey/Huston. <br />2. The minutes of the meeting held on April 12, 1988 were read. <br />Motion was made to approve minutes as amended by Claude Graves and <br />seconded by Mike Wadsworth. Motion was unanimous. <br />3. Buddy Jacobs discussed expenditure report. Richard Matthews <br />requested a column be added to report showing budgeted amount. <br />John Joerns said it would be added. <br />Richard Matthews requested a report on status of plans. Board <br />asked Dale Conger to proceed with Item ~~7. Dale Conger discussed <br />the various tasks and the percent completion. Also, he discussed <br />the various tasks upcoming and estimates of time for each. He <br />showed a set of draft plans to the Board and discussed. <br />He discussed the amount of survey work left to be done. He stated <br />that the aerial survey firm has just invoiced them for 80~ and it <br />will show on next invoice. He answered various questions about <br />the plans. <br />Board requested that they review the final design and also receive <br />a report on staff"s review and all other agencies. John Joerns <br />stated that he feels it would be a good idea. <br />Board feels they would like to have a workshop to review the plans <br />and to invite the customer entities. Dale feels a workshop can be <br />scheduled for late July or August. He feels the Texas Water <br />Development Board will only take 2-3 weeks to review the plans. <br />Rick Matthews moved for payment of invoice dated April 27 for <br />$37,300.28 and invoice dated May 26 for $28,534 total $65,834.88, <br />seconded by Mike Wadsworth motion unanimous. <br />
