.. ~ ~ <br />LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />BAYMUD ANNEXATION <br />July 12, 1988--BayMUD submits annexation petition to La Porte Area Water <br />Authority Board of Directors. <br />July 12, 1988--LPAWA Board accepts petition and certifies it at regular <br />called meeting:, annexation hearing called by the Board to be held within <br />thirty (30) days. <br />July 19, 1988--LPAWA Board posts notice of the public hearing on annexation: <br />a. Notice of the hearing posted at the City of La Porte Public Works <br />Service Center, City of La Porte City Hall, and Fairmont Park <br />Recreation Center. <br />b. notice of the hearing posted at the offices of the Bayshore <br />Municipal District <br />c. Notice of the hearing published in the Bayshore Sun. <br />August 13, 1988--Hearing on annexation held in the City Hall of the City of <br />La Porte. At close of hearing, LPAWA Board enters an order in the minutes of <br />the meeting annexing the land described in the petition. <br />a. Majority of LPAWA Board signs the order. Secretary of the Board <br />attests the order. <br />August 17, 1988--LPAWA Board of Directors forwards order to La Porte City <br />Council and informs them of vacancy on the LPAWA Board of Directors. <br />August 19, 1988--Order annexing BayMUD filed and recorded in Harris County <br />Deed Records. <br />August 19, 1988--LPAWA Board sends copy of order to Texas Water Commission. <br />September 19, 1988--La Porte City Council holds workshop meeting to prepare <br />and review list of potential candidates. <br />October 10, 1988--La Porte City Council reviews potential candidates at <br />regular scheduled meeting. First opportunity for Council to make <br />appointment. <br />October 11, 1988--Oath of Office administered to incoming LPAWA Board member <br />at regular scheduled meeting. <br />November 8, 1988--Regularly scheduled meeting of LPAWA. <br />December 13, 1988--Last regular scheduled meeting of LPAWA Board of Directors <br />for calendar year 1988. <br />
