Steve Gillett stated that indirectly the Authority <br />is responsible if pour trench safety is approved with the <br />Authority's knowledge. Pro,~ect Representative Robert Ray <br />stated that he kept a dally log detailing the paying of <br />trench safety. The contractor signs these logs. Mr. <br />Gillett stated these logs are the Authority's back-up. <br />Motion was unanimous to approve payment. <br />6. Daie Conger discussed the area of dispute with Mercer over <br />trench safety. htr. Conger stated in the future Robert Ray <br />will sketch the trench (size of ditch, depth and width, <br />etc.) in the rase of a dispute over the trench safety in <br />place and both Mr. Ray and the Contractor will sign off on <br />this sketch. Mr. Ray has also been supplied a camera to <br />document the trench safety in place. Dale Conger discussed <br />the minutes of the last construction progress meeting with <br />Mercer Construction Company. <br />Mr. Conger reportE:d on correspondence from Coastal Water <br />Authority (CWA) regarding their right--of-way monuments. <br />They have asked we replace all markers on the Authority's <br />side of the one hundred fifty foot (150') right-of ---way. Mr. <br />Conger stated we have replied that fire Authority will repair <br />those damaged by our construction, which was in our <br />agreemE~nt with CWA. Photographs and records have been made <br />detailing the existing condition of all markers, The <br />Authority has asked for a list from CWA of those markers <br />they consider to still be good and they have complied. <br />Mr . Conger repur t ed on various problems wi t. h t he other <br />easements. There is also a problem with the elevation of <br />the meter at the Southeast Water Purification Plant. <br />Robert Ray discussed the progress of the construction to <br />date. <br />Dale Conger discussed the r,hange order that Mercer has <br />requested fur additional pay for several Items. <br />7. General Manager Bob Herrera discussed the meeting with the <br />Mayor of Shoreaces stating it had been most successful. <br />After explanation of the formula, cost estimate, and how the <br />estimated budget was developed for' the following year, the <br />meeting with the Mayor of Morgan's Point was very productive <br />and ended amicably. <br />
