LA FORTE AREA WATER AIITHORITY <br />MINIITES <br />JANIIARY 28, 1992 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. by President Jerry <br />Bramlett. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: President Jerry Bramlett, Member Bob <br />Blackwell, and Member Rodney Etchberger <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Secretary Al Fields <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Steve Gillett, Director of Public Works and <br />Buddy Jacobs, Assistant Director of Public Works <br />2. Minutes from the regular meeting held October 9, 1991 were read. <br />Motion made by Bob Blackwell to accept the minutes as read and <br />seconded by Rodney Etchberger. Motion unanimous. <br />3. Motion made by Rodney Etchberger and seconded by Bob Blackwell to <br />approve "Catch-up" payment to City of Houston in the amount of <br />$31,632.98. Steve Gillett discussed the invoice from Houston. He <br />stated that the project is basically complete. City of Houston <br />has not succeeded in getting the contractor to finish punch list. <br />The retainage is being held until legal issues are concluded. He <br />answered various other questions concerning the contract. Motion <br />unanimous. <br />4. Steve Gillett stated that a meeting will be needed in February to <br />approve the La Porte Area Water Authority audit which has been <br />completed. He stated that Secretary Al Fields requested a change <br />to the first and third Tuesday for the LPAWA meetings due to a <br />conflict with his work. President Bramlett requested a time <br />change to 6:30 PM for the meetings. All board members present <br />had no objections. <br />Steve Gillett discussed a proposal from Mercer Construction Co. <br />concerning a semiannual inspection. He stated that he is not <br />ready at this time to recommend acceptance until further talks <br />with Mercer. Board members requested a list of equipment covered <br />by the agreement and resume's of personnel involved. <br />Problems with Autocon software was discussed. Problems has been <br />addressed by supply of two new computers at no cost to the <br />Authority. <br />
